After graduating from Hampden-Sydney College, Mr. Standing began his career in the financial services industry. He held several positions with large investment banking firms in an advisory capacity. In 1990 he acquired a minority interest in a small plastics manufacturing firm. The company grew from Three Hundred Thousand to Three Million in annual sales. Mr. Standing negotiated the sale of the company and soon thereafter secured a funding package that included a collateralized credit line, term debt funding and equity to finance another polyolefin processing venture. As president of this company, Mr. Standing had full responsibility for profit and loss, product development and tool design.
